Intermediate Analyst - Chemistry

Profile

The Intermediate Analyst is responsible for coordinating and performing analyses within a discrete section of the laboratory (i.e. Organic division, Inorganic division or Microbiology division). This involves sample analysis according to established methods and QC protocols as well as assisting in scientific research. The Intermediate Analyst may also participate in method development and validation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensuring that all tests are performed according to the established in-house protocols
Responsible for coordinating and performing analyses and preparation of lab standards and reagents
Checking and verification of QC data
In conjuction with the Senior Analyst, monitoring the workload status on an on-going basis
Responsible for requisitioning supplies
Assistance in scientific research
Qualifications:
B.Sc. or Chemical/Biology/Biochemistry Technology Diploma, section specific, with two years of relevant experience.
