The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is hiring a Senior Scientist with experience in analytical chemistry and involves the design, development, and troubleshooting of advanced chemical instrumentation. It also requires a working background in mass spectrometry instrumentation.

Duties & Responsibilities
Design, develop and troubleshoot advanced chemical instrumentation
Program development using assembly code and C
Design and develop mass spectrometry interface software and electronics
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ph.D. in Chemistry with an in-depth knowledge of chemical instrumentation, ion mobility and mass spectrometry.
Must be a United States citizen.
Experience in design, development, and troubleshooting of advanced mass spectrometric control systems.
Knowledge in microprocessor assembly level, as well as C programming languages.
Experience in design and development in analytical chemical instrumentation.
Experience in development of computer control software.
Experience with electronic design and development for instrumentation.
Knowledge of program skills for developing instrument control software.
