Job Description Summary
The Department of Chemical Engineering at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions beginning the Fall 2020 semester. The individuals selected for these positions will be expected to contribute to the growth of at least one of the department's strategic focus areas: energy and environment, advanced materials, computer-aided chemical engineering, and pharmaceutical/biomedical engineering. Furthermore, the candidates will be expected to collaborate with faculty on a number of interdisciplinary research projects, secure research funding, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and publish research results in appropriate scholarly outlets.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or a closely related field. The candidates selected for these positions must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time appointments are scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. Ph.D. (or terminal degree) is required at the time employment begins. Excellent communication skills and a high level of personal motivation are required.
The candidates selected for these positions must demonstrate a strong commitment and potential to excel at both research and teaching in the area of chemical engineering. Additionally, the candidates will have a strong record of scholarly publication, an ability to attract and sustain externally sponsored research funding to support their research program, effectively teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
