In Research, Development & Quality (RD&Q), your skills can be the special ingredient that brings our brands to life. As part of a fantastic team of scientists, engineers and nutritionists, you'll work tirelessly on product design or development, process development, quality, nutrition, sensory and food safety aspects to ensure we deliver a consistent, delightful consumer experience. RD&Q is where you'll turn great ideas into brilliant brands.
The position sits within the NA Cross Category Productivity team and is responsible for planning and executing NA productivity projects across the Biscuit, Gum & Candy, and Chocolate categories. The role is essential to deliver regional R&P & margin targets while maintaining or improving consumer acceptability and brand requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
Deliver technical solutions to drive cost out of NA products with some guidance.
Plan and execute with some direction Productivity & other Margin Improvement projects - including developing objectives, risk assessments & contingency plans
Design, plan, and execute bench top experiments, pilot plant trials and plant trials.
Analyze results of experiments and translate them into actionable recommendations with minimal guidance and support
Identify and efficiently utilize necessary resources to achieve timely delivery of project objectives
Coordinate sensory and analytical testing of prototypes
Act as a technical resource for entry level members of the RDQI community
Lead and participate in cross functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
Build strong relationships within RDQI, Procurement, Marketing, Finance, and ISC.
Work collaboratively to gain alignment across teams.
Write IC's and PDR's and update formulations and specifications.

Support NA Raw Material Productivity & End to End Margin Improvement.
In year delivery as well as pipeline development.

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or another related technical field
Minimum 2 years food industry experience
Good technical foundation and technical curiosity
Plans and executes work plans with guidance. Basic knowledge of the commercialization process.
Begin to utilize Project Management skills to implement specific action plans to accomplish agreed upon objectives.
Ability to develop and conduct appropriate testing, gather and analyze data and develop recommendations based on findings
Preferred knowledge of Advanced Excel and Minitab
Ability to plan and anticipate next steps and potential problems. Interprets results and translates into possible solutions to business issues.
Strong learning agility
Excellent oral and written skills and have the ability to present technical findings to team
Develops strong cross functional relationships, within global RD&Q and across the business
Ability to travel up to 20% (Domestic and International - Canada and Mexico)
