We are currently looking to fill a Quality Engineer position within our Corporate Quality Group. In this position, you will support the Corporate Quality Team by participating in quality audits, quality improvement projects, strategic quality planning, design of experiments, the writing of quality procedures and training on quality procedures and processes. You will participate in Root Causes Analyses to assist with the resolution of plant, product, customer and supplier quality issues. The successful candidate will have experience in manufacturing quality systems and continuous improvement projects.
Develops and manages corporate and plant quality improvement projects.
Develops and coordinates Design of Experiments, ANOVA, gage R&R and other statistically based studies to validate manufacturing processes, test equipment and test methods.
Develops and documents quality system procedures (SOPs) and process related work instructions and forms / checklists.
Develops and delivers training on quality system procedures, processes and test methods.
Plans, leads and participates in internal and supplier Quality Audits.
Performs routine quality control testing on paint and colorant formulations and finished packaged products.
Participates in Root Cause Analyses to identify the primary and contributing causes for manufacturing quality issues and non-conformances.
Participates in the investigation of customer complaints.
Assists with the design, development and validation of package components and package filling equipment.
Assists and helps develop Quality Specialists and Quality Technicians.
Works with cross-functional teams to develop quality strategies and quality planning for continuous improvement of quality and manufacturing processes.
Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Chemical Engineering, or related science (or equivalent combination of education and experience) required.
5 years experience working in a Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance role or department, ASQ or Six Sigma Quality Certification a plus
3 years Consumer Products or Chemical Industry experience
Must have strong background in quality systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, and statistical tools
Project management and time management skills
Quality training and quality systems experience
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong knowledge of Excel, Minitab or comparable statistical software programs or tools
