We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to work as a Quality Control Manager
located in Los Angeles, CA.

This position has overall responsibility for the Quality Control Management Systems at the Los Angeles, CA production facility for the Advanced Materials Division. The QC Manager supervises and maintains overall responsibility for all shifts in the Quality Control Department

What will be expected from you?
Responsible for the Quality Control Management systems.
Run department efficiently by scheduling and managing overtime, ensuring production coverage.
Execute and maintain the quality module.
Interface with production, technical and customer service.
Responsible for all material returns and deciding disposition of returns.
Responsible for customer complaints, including resolution and corrective action.
Responsible for all non-conforming material.
Perform daily laboratory testing.
Manufacturing Performance Reporting monthly - SQC for products.
Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
Assists other employees in accomplishment of Huntsman company goals.
Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
This position may require some involvement with materials regulated under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). This involvement may require an understanding of applicable rules and procedures associated with RCRA wastes. A combination of training methods, e.g., Computer-based Training, Classroom, and/or On-the-job training, will be provided prior to any such involvement with RCRA regulated wastes.
What are we looking for in the ideal Candidate?
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related science and 3 years of related experience.
Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills.
General computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and Quality standards required.
Experience with TS 16949 Automotive Quality standard and its requirements, ie APQP/PPAP warrant submission (FMEA design and production, process flowcharts, control plans, etc) is a plus.
Experience with customers and Quality audits needed. Must have internal auditing experience and/or certification.
Experience in an aerospace or aviation manufacturing environment with knowledge of managing customer specifications and process control documents (PCD) related to the spec is preferred.
Thorough understanding of statistics and statistical process/quality control (SPC/SQC) techniques; process capability studies (Cp and CpK), test repeatability/reproducibility studies, analytical round-robins, etc.
Knowledge of LIMS and other data collection and historian database systems is a plus.
Must have SAP knowledge. Requires Quality module set up in SAP for new products.
Direct Customer Interaction.
Communicates tactfully and effectively both verbally and in writing and maintains effective work relations with those encountered during the course of employment.
Flexibility and adaptability to new instructions and/or dynamic organizational priorities is critical for job success.
