Job Scope & Purpose:
Our venture-backed, Cambridge based client is building a platform RNA expression drug discovery company and is seeking an exceptional researcher to join their ranks. Core to this role is critical thinking ability and flexibility in a fluid environment. Primary Job Responsibilities
Engage in research efforts independently and as part of a team.
Design, synthesize and characterize RNA and DNA constructs.
Support the translational and development activities of RNA delivery for scale-up.
Provide hands-on support for high-throughput analytical assays (fluorescence/luminescence, electrophoresis, HPLC).
Provide hands-on support for expression assays and mammalian tissue culture.
General laboratory assistance including ordering/receiving of lab supplies, preparation of reagents, and lab equipment maintenance.
Document, analyze, interpret and present data to internal parties.
Primary Job Requirements:
BS/ MS degree in molecular biology, biochemistry or a related discipline and at least 2 years of experience in a research laboratory
Working knowledge RNA in vitro transcription, expression methods, mammalian cell culture, and molecular cloning
In vitro transfection/transduction
Experience with Plasmid design and Vector construction
Knowledge and experience in conventional PCR and qPCR
Attention to detail and rigorous in science
