You have a solid technical background, familiarity with CAD, ability to interpret engineering drawings and will apply your skills to collaborate with a dynamic cross-functional team on next-gen Military programs.nnEssential Responsibilities:nnIn addition, as the Mechanical Component Engineer, you will:nn* Execute the analysis, design, manufacture and integration of components, assemblies or systems needed to facilitate development engine testnn* Collaborate with stakeholders in and outside of Test Systems Engineering team on requirements definition and design solutions for test enabling componentsnn* Prepare technical, schedule or cost data and present in technical and program reviews to leadership, internal and external customersnn* Drive initiatives to minimize risk of failures at testnn* Provide technical and program management oversight to internal and external manufacturing stakeholders supporting the assigned projectnn* Document and communicate analysis and test resultsnn* Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiativesnn* Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and proceduresnnQualifications/Requirements:nn* Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of IT, engineering, scientific or other technical experience)nn* A minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering positionnnDesired Characteristics:nn* Strong oral and written communication skillsnn* Strong interpersonal and leadership skillsnn* Ability to influence others and lead small teamsnn* Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impactnn* Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneouslynn* Effective problem identification and solution skillsnn* Proven analytical and organizational abilitynnAt GE Aviation, we are imagination at work.
