Research & Technology (BR&T) organization is seeking an experienced Structural Analysis Engineer ( Level 4 ) to join the Structures Technology team at the Charleston, SC u00a0site. The position will be supporting advanced structural analysis methods and tools development, as well as, internal and external research and development programs. The ideal candidate would be self-starter, with good communication skills, with the ability to learn and adapt skills to the wide variety of tasks and assignments within BR&T. In particular we are looking for engineers interested in advanced composite structures simulation methods development and programming / architecture development of new tools and capabilities . Qualifications Basic Qualifications ( Required Skills / Experience ): Experience in Structural Analysis Experience in structural analysis methods and tools such as Finite Element Analysis Possess interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written & presentation) with the ability to coordinate with customers Position requires local travel betweenu00a0site locations Preferred Qualifications ( Desired Skills / Experience ): Engineering degree preferred Experience with testing, allowables, and/or methods development Computer programming experience: analysis, algorithm development, implementation, testing, and maintenance Programming in C, C#, C , Python, FORTRAN and/or Perl Experience with SQL Server database Experience working in and/or capturing contracted research and development work Work Authorization : This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship Typical Education / Experience : Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
