Here, you go.Job Summary:The person hired for the position of Process Engineer will be responsible for initiating and leading projects related to the manufacturing, continuous improvement and development of processes and products. The ideal candidate will perform well in a fast-paced cross-functional environment managing multiple projects effectively while working with colleagues in the laboratory, in manufacturing, and on the production floor. The initial primary area of focus will be crushing, screening, classifying, and blending both fired and unfired abrasive minerals. Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Provides engineering leadership to the Cottage Grove plant - Establishes a network of resources and contacts to meet business goals and customer needsUtilizes technical skills to compile and review information to evaluate project scope, equipment specifications and other project requirementsMonitors production throughput, yield, and quality; provides guidance to production to maximize all threeLeads and participates in multiple Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement projects focused on product and quality system improvementsUtilizes project management skills to organize and execute projects, reports project status, cost and resultsSupports site and focus factory resources with process improvementsDrives understanding of key customer needs and monitors process capabilitiesBasic Qualifications:A Bachelor�??s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited universityPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mining, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited universityMinimum of two (2) years working within a manufacturing and/or process engineering environmentMinimum of one (1) year of experience with DMAIC and Business ExcellenceMinimum of three (2) years of experience with MinitabDemonstrated strength in engineering/technical skillsSelf-starter/self-directed that leads with high energy and passionLSS Green Belt certified or proven track of continuous process improvementEffective facilitation, communication and teaching skillsAbility to engage and influence the organizationAbility to multi-task and handle large workloads under time constraintsAbility to understand and apply analytical and statistics toolsPrevious experience in size reduction, screening, and classificationResults oriented with strong process and execution skillsLocation: Cottage Grove, MNTravel: May include up to 15% domestic/internationalRelocation: Is authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
