ManTech is currently seeking a Sr. Scientific Analyst to support our dynamic operations in Arlington, VA.

Will develop, test, and document future updates to existing Air Force mathematical models. Additionally, the analyst will work with GUI developers to design new features, maintain version control and change logs of source code, and develop/give presentations at User Group meetings.

Overview:

Conducts complex logical analysis of management problems and management information requirements and formulates mathematical models of problems for solutions by computer. Prepares mathematical models of problem areas in forms of one of several equations that relate constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives and their numerical parameters. Gathers, relates, identifies data with variables in models by applying personal judgment and mathematical tests. Reviews operations and testing of models to insure adequacy, or determines needs for reformulation. Analyzes operations methods, which require substantial competence in the rigorous methods of scientific and mathematical inquiry and analysis. Prepares written, non-technical reports to management, indicating solutions or range of possible alternatives in rank of desirability and probability of success when there is no single solution. May supervise more junior staff and schedule work to meet completion dates. Interfaces with customer and helps define work process.
