The M&P Engineer will be expected to Assist with providing general Materials and Processes Engineering guidance for the selection of materials, processes, and standard parts for mechanical parts/assembly/installation design. Be a member of and provide support to integrated product teams (IPT's) responsible for the design, manufacturing, and after delivery product support of maintenance, modifications, and upgrades applied to various airframes. A focus of this assignment will be to learn and apply knowledge necessary to review and approve the use of mechanical and structural standard part hardware and installation tools and processes to be in concert with specific contract/airframe requirements for proper application in design and build. But in general, the person will be expected to work in concert with the Materials and Processes engineering team to perform assignments as follows: &bull Assist with definition of requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and/or maintenance of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. products. &bull Draft engineering specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes. &bull Assist in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to business needs. &bull Assist with development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements. &bull Perform routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements. Conduct routine analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts or processes. &bull Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions. &bull Develop computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements. &bull Use project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements.
