DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include:
Provide technical assistance to the production departments for operational issues pertaining to safety, environmental, capacity, and quality
Provide process knowledge to project managers and engineering personnel to aid in the specification and /or maintenance of process equipment, instruments and control logic
Partner with plant operation personnel to secure process data for identification of technology gaps, improvement opportunities, and project definitions
Direct the implementation of process and equipment changes to maximize productivity
Act as a point of contact for technical issues with customers, suppliers and other Lubrizol locations
Evaluate expenditures for processes and/or equipment
Provide leadership on projects related to the above as needed

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
Positions suitable for engineers with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in process or plant operations
The ability to keep information confidential
Strong data analysis and analytical skills
Experience planning and directing project implementation
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Ability to communicate effectively with persons at all levels of the organization
CONSIDERED A PLUS
Experience with SAP, Aspen and Statistics
Graduate degree in engineering
Experience leading capital projects
