he New Products and Applications Specialist will be responsible for driving and managing innovation as it pertains to new products and new market applications designed to expand and grow Graymont’s business.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilizing the formal stage-gate process, in collaboration with other functions, drive the identification and development of new products and new market applications.
Research and identify specific applications where calcium-based solutions provide opportunities to profitably grow our business.
Help transform concepts into sustainable opportunities by leading/supporting
Market and Pricing Analysis
Financial and Risk Analysis
Provide technical and market expertise to support the field sales team and other members of the marketing team as it relates to commercializing new products and new applications.
Design and produce marketing and technical documentation.
Travel as required (can exceed 50%).
Bachelor’s degree in chemical or civil engineering, chemistry or other technical discipline; a relevant post-graduate degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Knowledge of industrial minerals products, production processes, as well as the manufacturing methods of customers, and their customers
Direct experience with new product development or new application development
Familiar with navigating the stage gate process
Strong analytical capabilities including business case development
Well-developed communication skills, including constructing and making sophisticated presentations to potential customers, trade associations, Graymont personnel and business partners.
Tenacious, agile and comfortable with ambiguity
Self-directed and effective working with others

Well organized and able to deliver high quality work
