The Specialty Coatings and Materials business unit has been a participant in the OLED business since 2000 working with Universal Display Corporation’s (UDC) proprietary OLED materials. In order to support UDC and growth in the OLED market, manufacturing capability was added to the Barberton plant in 2013 and additional expansions were completed in 2017.
The OLED Process Engineer is responsible for providing operational and technical support to the OLED production units to ensure a safe and efficient manufacturing environment is maintained. S/He is responsible for the engineering, design and implementation of process changes to continually improve safety and quality, as well as reduce product variation.
The ideal candidate will have a proven background in pharmaceuticals with knowledge of pharmaceutical characterization and purity assessment methodology.
The Engineer will work in an office environment within a chemical manufacturing facility with frequent plant and laboratory exposure. The OLED operating units are clean rooms or clean environments to ensure product quality.
This role works in a dynamic environment created by frequent new product introductions, so the ability to react and adapt to change is critical.
The OLED process also requires a Six Sigma culture for manufacturing and driving process capability is a fundamental requirement for customer satisfaction.

Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, or related field, is required
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in chemical plant.
Knowledge of PSM covered process/equipment Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations
Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred.
Position will require about 15% travel.

Effective written and oral communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and employees/customers at various levels
Excellent influencing skills
Strong ability to identify and execute on continuous improvement initiatives
Strong problem solving skills
