We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join the Protein Biochemistry group. We are responsible for performing a variety biochemical and biophysical assays to characterize protein biologics and gene therapy candidates to support late-stage development and commercialization efforts. The ideal candidate will be diligent, efficient, flexible, and able to perform key responsibilities in a fast-paced, team environment.
A day as a Sr. Scientist looks like:
Conducts biochemical and biophysical characterization experiments on therapeutic protein and gene therapy candidates (AAV/pseudovirus) for late-stage development and regulatory submissions.
Provide input on experimental design and suggest modifications in protocols or experimental methods to meet the needs of a particular program or molecule.
Will take on additional responsibilities in method development to support efforts to enrich and characterize size/charge variants of therapeutic protein and gene therapy drug candidates.
Documents experiments, results and findings in electronic laboratory notebook; presents work at group and department meetings; contributes to drafting of protocols, method development reports, regulatory submission sections, and peer-reviewed articles for publication.
Maintain instruments, troubleshoot instrumental/experimental problems, and order/maintain supplies.
This role may be for you if you have:
An in-depth knowledge about protein structure and function.
Experience with developing new analytical method and optimizing existing methods is preferred.
Experience with some of the following techniques is preferred: H/UPLC, light scattering and capillary electrophoresis.
The desire and ability to work in a team environment.
A passion for science and innovation with a strong dedication to continual improvement and making significant contributions in a collaborative environment.
In order to be considered, you must have a PhD in analytical chemistry, biophysics, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering or equivalent with 0-4 years post-doctoral training; this may be combined with industry experience in analytical characterization of proteins, ADCs and mRNAs. Experience with the following techaniques would be a plus: qPCR, ddPCR, NGS. Prior experience with AAV, pseudovius and LNP is a plus

Salary Range (annually)
$103,600.00 - $169,000.00
