**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking a Software Architect to join the F-22 Mission Systems team. This organization designs, develops, and demonstrates avionics solutions for the F-22 Raptor, the premier 5th gen air superiority fighter flown only by the United States Air Force (USAF). You will be tasked with helping to foster software best practices while providing metric based guidance on technical implementations to help maintain the Raptors dominance over the battlefield for many decades to come.

In this role, you will maintain technical cohesion across various cross-functional teams to ensure that our software engineers are provided the tools and coaching they need to continue to produce the software systems that allow the Raptor to maintain its dominance.

Additionally, you must be prepared to collaborate with other architects on the program, including working with some guidance from our Chief Mission Systems Architect, to identify and lead identified architectural changes to software or the systems they reside on.

Responsibilities include:

Actively participates in capability design and code reviews

*

Develops strategic roadmap for flight software enhancements and improvements

*

Monitors and manages the usage of onboard computing resources

Qualifications

This position requires an active Secret Level DoD U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SPA)

Basic Qualifications:

*

Experience developing real-time embedded software

*

Experience working to design or develop integrated avionics systems including some of the following domains: sensors, stores management and weapon systems, data links, Pilot Vehicle Interface, and GPS/INS

*

Experience working or leading integration efforts for new sub-systems

*

Experience or knowledge of various software architectures

*

Experience with tracking software resource utilization (memory, throughput and latency)

*

Experience developing a strategic product roadmap

Desired Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

*

Experience or knowledge of various kinematic and ID fusion approaches

*

Experience working to design or develop tasking protocols or algorithms for different sensor types

*

Experience or knowledge in target and situation awareness prioritization

*

Experience with Intel i960, PowerPC and Linux-based processors

*

Experience with Integrity and Linux Operating Systems

*

Experience with Open Mission Systems (OMS) and/or Open Systems Architecture (OSA)

*

Experience with developing embedded software for operational flight programs (OFPs)

*

Experience leading or implementing architectural upgrades

*

Experience with continuous integration and automated testing

*

Experience working for a United States Air Force customer

*

Experience leading and mentoring junior team members

*

Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other Agile frameworks

Typical Experience/Education:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelors 14 or more years experience, Masters with 12 or more years experience or PhD with 9 or more years experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
