in Williston, ND
to work an initial 3-month

Primary Description of the Laboratory Technician Role:
The Laboratory Technician directs and performs verifiable Quality Assurance tests on company products, prepares laboratory reports prior to service delivery on location, provides advanced technical support with additive selection and the design of stimulation and/or cementing fluids, supervises and mentors personnel and maintains links with the Client Support Labs and/or Operating districts, Product Centers and InTouch. They are considered an expert in fluid testing and selection.
Primary Responsibilities of the Laboratory Technician:
• Complies with all company and Regulatory HS&E Quality and IT standards and policies.
• Wears all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and maintains require HS&E and SQ certifications up-to-date.
• Performs advanced additive selection and design of fluids in assigned sub-segment and recommends solutions to improve the process.
• Supervises personnel to ensure equipment is clean and in proper working condition, as well as proper disposal of waste.
• Monitors the operation, maintenance, and calibration of equipment.
• Prepares presentations for internal and external clients.
• Mentors and coaches the less experienced personnel, monitors their development and acts as a role model.
• Performs regular audits, including CAT audits, to ensure the lab is operating as per the required standards, prepares and follows-up on the action plans as a result of the audit.
• Assists the Lab Manager in ensuring clean, safe, and orderly working conditions are conducted in the lab.
• Develops an advanced understanding of knowledge management tools through the use of InTouch, LabDC, and the Client Support Lab.
• Assist the GMTE, DTE, Product Champions, and CSL with technical Support.
• Participate in the District HS&E and Quality initiatives and programs.
• Performs risk analysis and identifies and addresses potential safety hazards; corrects and reports hazards immediately in QUEST or to Supervisor.
Education and Experience Requirements of the Laboratory Technician:
• High School Diploma/GED, Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Expert in testing fluids, additive selection, and Quality Assurance.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to adapt and work within a team environment.
Additional Information:
• Contract assignment, duration 3-months.
• Work schedule: Full-Time, first-shift.
• Pay Rate: $16.50/hour
