This position provides technical services supporting the execution of projects for Desalitech’s clients in North America. In this position, the Project Engineer i) supports the coordination of the work between the various technical disciplines involved in delivering the materials and services required for every project, and ii) supports the procurement and logistic functions by facilitating the selection of vendors and parts and by ensuring compliance with all SAP related processes. The ideal candidate will have prior exposure to project execution in the water or wastewater industry, will have experience in working within a team of engineers located in the US and overseas and will have excellent organizational and communication skills. Experience with project execution in adjacent fields will also be considered. We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated, able to work independently but willing to seek advice and guidance on nonroutine or problem areas from others and willing to get involved in every aspect of project execution. This position has the potential for growth into process engineering, project management and other senior positions within the organization.
Typical Duties & Responsibilities :
Participate in the development of process design information related to projects involving reverse osmosis and other technologies used in pretreatment to RO including process and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, mass balance, energy and chemical usage calculations and other documentation as directed by the process engineer.
Develop equipment lists, component specifications, support the selection of parts and vendors, assist with the preparation and coordination of submittal documents for clients’ review and coordinate the response to clients’ questions and observations.
Support the development of operation and maintenance manuals.
Interface with customers, contractors, assembly shops and other external and internal stakeholders to support the ongoing project efforts.
Travel occasionally to job sites or to fabrication shops to support the completion of specific field activities including for example FAT, site performance testing and other contractual activities.
A BS in Chemical or Environmental Engineering is required at a minimum, equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
