About this role:

The Prostate Health (Spacing and Marking) Medical Affairs Manager is a partner with the business and scientific stakeholders (including Clinical, NBD, Marketing Strategy & Analysis, Division GMs, Divisional R&D, Regulatory, Legal, and other groups) to provide context on disease states, unmet clinical needs & to evaluate clinical and technical merit of new technologies under consideration or existing technologies for new indications. They are responsible for developing and overseeing the evidence plan for the Prostate Health spacing and marking related PDPs.  This position has global responsibility and leverages Boston Scientific global Clinical Sciences staff and / or contract clinical resources to implement clinical projects in compliance with local laws and regulatory requirements.


Your responsibilities will include:

*Be familiar with current clinical literature regarding BSCI and competitors in the various prostate and spacing and marking products.  *Understand data gaps in the literature and develop scientific strategies to close gaps that are considered keys to the success of the business.    *Develops disease and therapy overview to facilitate understanding of therapeutic area & clinical unmet need & enable performance comparisons for new & emerging therapies. *Identifies and develops relevant partnerships with the key opinion leaders through collaborative partnerships. *Serves as the clinical liason between the Prostate Health business unit and R&D helping with identification of unmet medical needs, ascertaining voice of the customer, and conducting interim product reviews. *Develops clinical evidence strategy to support new product launches, existing product regulatory submissions, clinical evidence to support reimbursement positions. *Supports divisional clinical strategy planning in prioritizing cadence of trials & in designing trials to meet anticipated regulatory requirements & physician expectations for performance. *Develops & communicates clinical value proposition with succinct, data-driven messaging to support corporate decision making across functions & levels of organization.

What we're looking for in you:

Minimum Qualifications

*Bachelor’s Degree in the Biology, Chemistry or other scientific field; or Bachelor’s Degree in other field with an equivalent combination of experience and education in the medical device industry *7+ years of industry experience; medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology *Proven success of managing KOL relationships *Experience developing / writing clinical research protocols *Proven ability to lead and manage without authority *Experience as core team member on new product development teams

Preferred Qualifications

*Advanced Degree (MPH, MS, PhD) *Experience in controlling budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations. *Experience leading a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals.  Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization.
