We are currently looking for a lead chemist will be responsible for formulating a variety of proprietary lubricants. Products must be developed in a timely manner that will permit their evaluation, qualification, and implementation by Henkel customers. The main lubricant formulation focus is on semi-synthetic and synthetic machining & fluids as well as stamping lubricants for aluminum.
What we offer
Leads the formulation development and support efforts for the lubricant product line.
Executes on assigned product development projects, proactively reports on progress toward project objectives to both internal and external customers.
Provides technical support services to manufacturing and quality as required.
Assures all R&D laboratory work is carried out in a safe manner including personal protective equipment, training on safety practices.
Ensures compliance with 5S and TS 16949 policies and procedures.
Develops intellectual property protection and guidance for new innovations
Interfaces with a variety of customers and chemists located internally and externally.
Assures all new products meet international chemical health and safety requirements.
Acts as a technical liaison with other development groups. ','!*!Who we are looking for
BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or other relevant technical field is required.A strong background in the formulation of water miscible metal working lubricants Required.
3 years technical experience in the development of semi-synthetic and synthetic formulations used in machining & grinding applications required.
In depth knowledge of tribology testing equipment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external customer project reviews.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Six-sigma, design of experiments a plus.
