Are you our next Chemist Associate?
The Chemist Associate performs entry level, routine environmental analyses and testing, trains lab technicians, assists chemist and lab supervisor in day-to-day operations. Performs Environmental analyst duties, coordinates with the field services team in collection and procedures during analyses. Works closely with the lab supervisor to implement/maintain appropriate calibration procedures/documentation for analytical instruments. Coordinates with facility environmental specialists as directed by the lab supervisor. Assists the lab supervisor in reviewing analytical results from the LIMS, identifying potential compliance issues and developing trends.
What will you do?
Analytical Analysis: Perform and record results of all testing on environmental samples.
Involved in the preparation of lab batches under the supervision of Lab Supervisor Chemist.
Prepare samples and standards according to method requirements and standard operating procedures while strictly adhering to all safety requirements.
Meet regulatory and project specific quality control and turn-around times.
Documentation: Accurately document all analytical procedures and results.
Lab Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
Troubleshooting: Effectively troubleshoot analytical procedures.
Miscellaneous job related duties.
What do you need for this role?
Bachelorâ€™s in Chemistry, Biology or Science related field required.
1-2 years of Laboratory experience required.
1-2 years of Microsoft Office experience required.
