Description POSITION SUMMARY: The key responsibility of this position is to ensure our product(s) meet or exceed theu00a0quality expectations of our customers. The primary focus of this Chemistry/Microbiologyu00a0position is to determine if chemicals or reagent packaging from alternate vendors meets Hachu2019s specifications and function for our customers and meet Hachu2019s production needs. Position will interface with Production, Purchasing, Analytical Services,Research and Development, Compliance, the Business Units, and external customers asnecessary. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works with the technical advisor for a focused area of manufacturing through the entire value stream, including but not limited to packaging, chemistry/micro, quality, stability, etc. to determine what is critical to quality for a material being tested. Validate new products or sources and confirm manufacturability. Fill out Change Assessment plans, intentional deviations and ECOs as documents that are needed in the qualification and release of a new source to production. Learn and apply DBS tools, Hach SQDIP metrics, and quality systems in support ofimprovement activities. Participate on Kaizen teams Compliance with Company safety and good housekeeping policies. CRITICAL COMPETENCIESu00a0 Assist in developing new production processes and equipment with guidance. Perform non-routine analysis of raw materials and finished products. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications Education/Background 0-2 years of experience with BA/BS degree in applicable physical science (Chemistry related studies preferred) or equivalent Skills: Excellent communications and instruction skills Excellent writing and oral communication skills Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management Ability to apply scientific methods of reasoning and experimental design.
