Profile

Supports the development and verification of test methods. Develops detailed test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition, needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan. Develops solutions to calibration systems problems of limited scope and impact. Designs test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements. Uses analytical tools to verify the design. Analyzes, processes, and formats data to customer requirements. Reviews test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer. Prepares and publishes test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements. Presents test results internally. Archives data and reports. Trains others. Works under general direction.

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Primary Responsibilities

Supports the development and verification of test methods.

Develops detailed test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition, needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan.

Works under general direction

Degree and Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

3 or more years working in the RF/Microwave

(Radio Frequency) field

3 or more years of experience with test equipment including RF (Radio Frequency) sources, power meters, and spectrum analyzers.

Preferred (Desired) Qualifications:

3 or more years of experience in test asset or Metrology

Experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft office applications.

3 or more years of experience using any of the following electronic test equipment: Network analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Signal generators, Spectrum analyzers

Experience with calibration automation software. Examples: Fluke MetTeam & Fluke MetCal, Keysight TME, Northrup Grumman SureCal.

Experience with RF connector care.

Experience calibrating PNA Keysight Network Analyzers.

Ability to travel to other Boeing sites for training.

Experience communicating with customers in a clear and concise manner about technical details of a calibration process.
