In addition, we have a robust internship and externship program, and frequently host student tours. nnResponsibilitiesnn Lead R&D projects with regular supervision.n Perform literature reviews and incorporating into research strategies.n Participate in external research collaborations, with management.n Actively identify and lead research areas that could lead to new product development or process improvement, with minimal supervision.n Independently develop SOPs, research protocols, and research methods.n Maintain accurate and detailed electronic laboratory notebooks.n Independently perform laboratory experiments (plan, execute, analyze, and interpret results).n Independently perform advanced data analysis and interpretation, including statistical analysis.n Generate scientific publications used for internal or external purposes and review internal publications.n Prepare and present research reports in multiple formats for both internal and external audiences.n Must adhere to laboratory standard operating procedures, documentation and guidelines.n Troubleshoot issues with laboratory equipment and instrumentation.nnQualificationsnn PhD in organic chemistry, natural product chemistry, food chemistry/science or related scientific fields with 0-2 years of relevant experience in in food, flavor, beverage and agricultural industry, orn Masters in organic chemistry, natural product chemistry, food chemistry/science or related scientific fields with 4 years of relevant experience in food, flavor and agricultural industryn Bachelor in organic chemistry, natural product chemistry, food chemistry/science or related scientific fields with 7 years of relevant experience in in food, flavor and agricultural industryn Detail oriented, organized, prioritization skills, and motivated by accomplishment.n Must be able to work independently and work as a team in a fast-pacedn Strong experimental design, data collection, and problem-solving skills.n Good written and oral communication skills, suitable for external presentations.n service to internal and external customers.n Advanced computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.), ability to understand and perform basic statistical analysisn Scientific curiosity and innovation.n Handle multiple projects efficiently.n Good project management skills.n Ability to apply knowledge quickly to projects.n Fluent in EnglishnnKemin is an equal opportunity employer, and all reasonable accommodation will be considered. n nA post-offer background check and drug screen is required.
