Veolia Environnement (Paris Euronext: VIE) achieved consolidated revenue of 28,508 billion euros in 2021. ****Job Description Responsible for performing routine tasks and simple analysis on hazardous waste samples utilizing proscribed procedures in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines. May perform specialized analysis under the direction of a chemist in support and relation with applied quality assurance and control procedures. Maintains the laboratory as directed for compliance with company hygiene plans.
1. Samples a variety of incoming hazardous waste materials and determines proper analytical methods required for compliance in accordance with establishes guidelines.
2. Ensures proper documentation of all test results and audits sample documents prior to approval and completeness of summarizing data.
3. Maintains proficiency of troubleshooting and maintenance of analytical equipment and documents in accordance with quality assurance and control compliance.
4. Gathers appropriate paperwork for management approvals and notifies staff of any incomplete sections needing attention.
5. Performs periodic audits of analytical logs to ensure federal regulation compliance for completeness and error corrections.
6. Complies with all federal, state, and local regulatory regulations.
Qualifications An Associate of Arts degree from an accredited community college with emphasis in chemistry or related discipline required. BS in Chemistry or related discipline highly desirable. Prior work experience of 6 months in the hazardous waste industry highly desirable with proficiency in basic chemistry knowledge.
