The Position Conceives plans, develops, and recommends proposals to improve sterility, yields and output of the processes he\/she supports as Engineer Initiate and manage small capital projects in this area and is a resource on large projects Provides technical assessment of proposed or newly implemented process changes Develops new or improved operating procedures for manufacturing processes Provides training and technical coaching to new colleagues and Operations staff within area of fermentation processes\u00a0 Provides engineering expertise to the department and may serve as an expert to the organization Assists in setting, tracking and meeting department goals Supports plant and corporate initiatives as outlined in the manufacturing plan Promotes teamwork and cooperation Adheres to equipment\/material specifications by following the change control process and ensures that change control documentation is completed for process changes Participates in and leads investigations into non-conformances and completes investigation documentation Maintains a presence in production areas, an awareness of process performance and accessibility to all process team members Assists in identifying technical training needs and provides coaching and training to operations personnel Follows all cGMP and SHE Duties & Responsibilities The Ideal Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering, (bio)chemistry and\/or (bio)engineering Master\u2019s degree preferred Technical knowledge to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology preferred Ability to independently manage process optimization Good communications skills and presentation skills Manage multiple projects and work in a team environment Root Cause analysis and incident investigation skills as well as problem solving experience Availability to support shift, weekend and holiday schedules as required Able to perform the essential functions of the job, including but not limited to field inspection and evaluation of process equipment, systems and facilities The Reward Working for DSM means the opportunity to really contribute to improve\u00a0people\u2019s lives and solving the challenges of today\u2019s world.
