The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the development of multiple aspects of protein purification, including chromatography, filtration, membrane separations, validation of viral and contaminant clearance, scale-up, technology transfer to the Manufacturing organization and process validation.
The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, biochemical engineering or a related field. Alternatively, individuals with a Masters degree and a demonstrated track record in the biotechnology industry will be considered. A strong understanding of the fundamentals of chromatography and/or membrane separations is required. A working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Procedures is a plus. This individual will be expected to work independently, manage projects, supervise associate scientists, as needed, and to participate in multidisciplinary project teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills are integral to this position.
Ph.D. Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or equivalent with relevant industry experience.
