The Randolph High School Chemistry teacher will facilitate student success in academic and interpersonal skills through academic courses of study and implement district approved curriculum, documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific needs of students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations and goals.
The ideal candidate will:
-Collaborate with school personnel, parents and various community agencies for the purpose of improving the quality of student outcomes, developing solutions and planning curriculum.
-Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
-Promote equity and appreciation of diversity
-Maintain classroom management
-Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement
-Plan and deliver effective instruction
-Execute the subject matter knowledge requirements specific for high school Chemistry Teachers
-Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the Building Principal and/or Department Head
-Massachusetts Teacher License in Chemistry
-Experience working with high school age students in a diverse, multi-cultural academic setting
182 school days in accordance with the Randolph Education Association (REA) collective bargaining agreement
Salary placement will be consistent with REA salary schedule.
