The BR&T (**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Research & Technology) Manufacturing Technology Integration Commercial team is seeking early career Mechanical, Structure and Assembly Engineers to work with our diverse team of Materials, Process and Physics Engineers to implement capital equipment and production process improvements in support of production programs located at multiple sites-- Seattle- WA, Everett-WA, Renton-WA, and Portland-OR.
Positions will be working across all commercial programs and development, truly operating as One **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.. It is critical to understand airplane program requirements and near term concerns by establishing relationships at all levels, developing and implementing solutions and coordinating across the enterprise to enable program success.
â€¢ Collect information to support definition of requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the manufacture and engineering design of products. Incorporates changes to specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts and processes.
â€¢ Perform tests to qualify new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements.
â€¢ Assists with activities to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements.
â€¢ Conduct basic analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts or processes.
â€¢ Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
â€¢ Develop basic computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements. â€¢ Use project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements. Incorporate environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas.
Production support may require periodic rotations on 2nd and 3rd shifts plus weekend days with focus on manual and automated drilling and fastening in CFRP, Al, & Ti, and supporting operations/processes.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a â€œUS Personâ€ as defined by 22 C.F.R. Â§ 120.15 is required. â€œUS Personâ€ includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
â€¢Bachelor of Science and 2 years engineering experience OR
â€¢Master of Science in an engineering or science degree.
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
â€¢Previous laboratory experience
â€¢Mechanical Properties Testing Experience (ASTMs, Peel, Tensile, Elongation, Compression, Shear Strength)
â€¢Initiative, teaming, planning, project management and communication skills are required
Typical Education and Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
