objective for the position described herein is to meet the business’ objectives
for profitable and sustainable growth. 
Furthermore, the position is expected to have a positive impact on the
company’s sales objectives through ongoing, consistent and complete
communication of projects within targeted national Accounts and the appropriate
engineering or sales representative. Contributing to driving the demand for PPG
products within the Commercial/Inland Marine segment in USA

 

The primary objective expected of the
position would be to achieve inclusion in specifications identified as a Commercial/Inland
Marine Market segment.  The Commercial/Inland Marine Manager
is expected to become an active partner and consultant within Owner accounts.  The geographic area of responsibility is the
United States & Canada as assigned by the Director of Sales.

in an effort to be aligned with the decision makers within the segment and
meet expectations this position has been deemed “Manger” to facilitate
meetings and engagement at levels of decision making within the customer
baseBe
actively aware and promote PPG EHS policies – manage all activities in
compliance with PPG Blueprint objectives, EHS goals, Quality policy,
business conduct and code of ethics and expense policies. Communicate and
promote the PPG Pillars and vision.Drive demand of PPG products in
all select segments through development of National Accounts relationshipsEnsure specification placement at the appropriate level in all
assigned National AccountsManages and grows major account
relationships by evaluating prospect’s needs and developing a Value
Proposition and presenting to the decision makers within select account.Achieve sales plans &
profitability objectives through, but not limited to, Advantage Product
placementEnsure
the proper management and communication of Global Project work to the
appropriate person within any of the PPG business unitsPosition yourself as a consultant
as much as possible into any National Account, be a partner.Develop
relationships with engineering & sales teams to be an effective
partner in meeting sales goals.Have
a clear understanding of the financial impact of the PPG Value Proposition
and demonstrate your ability to communicate this at all levels of the
organizationCommunicate effectively at all
levels of customer organizations, including top executives.Generate new business and ensure
continuing sales growth by keeping abreast of newer products, techniques,
& competitive trends.Maintain a progressive
professional image to the customer in order to enhance PPG's marketing
position.  Proactively manage to
generate new business and to ensure repeat business by cultivating
accounts, supplying good service, and by settling complaints promptly and
equitably.  Develop continued
acceptance and recognition of PPG products as World Class.All
account contact information and activities will be updated weekly with no
exceptions. Failure to this single point may result in PIPActively participate in industry

','!*!This position requires experience in the
chemicals and  coatings
field with a competent understanding of PPG product technology.  The job requires strong organizational,
interpersonal, & decision making skills with an aptitude for sales.  A 4 year degree in chemistry, business
management, engineering, or equivalent work experience, is desirable.  Significant travel is required. The
candidate must demonstrate better than average or at minimum average computer
skills including customer relationship
management CRM software, internal database, electronic mail software, presentation
software (PowerPoint), Spreadsheet software (Excel), and word processing software (Microsoft Word)The candidate must be proficient,
comfortable and demonstrate the capabilities of developing a complete Value
Proposition offer and presenting such offer to any of the PPG ALT team members
and customers.
