Space and Missile Systems (SMS) has recently been awarded multiple US Department of Defense (USDoD) contracts to provide products and engineering services to the support many of our nation’s critical defense and deterrence systems. These systems employ electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, chemical, and other technologies to create some of the most complex and leading-edge technological systems in the world.
Electrical/electronic engineers are needed with emphasized course-work and/or experience in one or more of these focused areas: analog and/or digital circuits, power supply and distribution, control systems, computers, networks, communication, wiring, RF, or Electro Magnetic Compatibility.
Position Responsibilities:
Working closely with industry subject matter experts, duties could include tasks in many of these areas: requirements/specification development and verification, product design/development, product sustainment and modification, data collection and analysis, component integration, test procedure development, test execution, and or problem resolution.
The candidate should be able to apply knowledge of engineering and scientific methods and tools to define and characterize behavior of products, services, and processes.
Integrates technical, cost, value, and safety considerations into the product definition to comply with USDoD, regulatory, and company requirements.
Ability to develop and interpret drawings, data sets, reports, and specifications is required.
Interfaces with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives.
Determines and develops approaches to solutions.
Develops, documents, and maintains processes, methods, and tools.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): * Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): * Bachelor and/or Master of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Electrical, Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering
Knowledge and experience with electrical circuit level design and analyses, specialized electronic and standard test equipment (oscilloscope, automated test systems, etc.), simulation and/or computer-aided design/analysis tools are preferred.
The ability to develop solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation is necessary.
The individual should be goal-oriented and have a strong work ethic
The ability to multi-task and work in a team environment is essential
Work is accomplished in a multi-company team environment with customer participation.
** Typical Education / Experience: *
Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
